What is the difference between Dreamweaver on Apple/Mac and PC/Windows?

There are minor differences between the Macintosh and Windows versions of Dreamweaver. The main difference is that the equivalent of a right-click on a Windows system is achieved with a control-click on the Macintosh. Also, web developers should be aware that web page text generally appears smaller on Windows systems than on Macs, while Mac web images are generally lighter than the same file on a Windows system.

Note for Macintosh users: When you open Dreamweaver, the Design, Code, Application, and Answers panel groups may not appear. If you need to open these groups, you can do so by selecting the appropriate categories from the Window menu.

You'll notice that the Window menu options don't include the names of the panel groups, they just list the categories that each group contains.

Note that the Macintosh version of Dreamweaver MX does not have a FilesPanel group. We can explain how files are managed and uploaded to your web server if you take a Macintosh Dreamweaver training course (which is usually only offered in a private, private or on-site setting).
